0(7/20/2010- San Antonio, TX ) HI-POD put the Mobile HI-POD to the test at the ALAMODOME by covering the “high scoring ” shootout between the North and South Texas High School Allstars. By positioning the mobile HI-POD 10 -15 yards in front of or behind the line-of-scrimmage, HI-POD was able to obtain a HIGH DEFINITION SHOT (with one camera) that rivaled a local TV broadcast.. By recording only the plays and not the in between play time, the HI-POD operator was able to encapsulate the game into “just the juicy stuff”.
Like the original “chapman crane” that moves up and down the track on one side of the game, the MOBILE HI-POD was able to obtain beautiful line-of-scrimmage footage of the game. But unlike the clunky 5-person operated Chapman crane, the MOBILE HI-POD , is one person that can move into the endzone when the game is in the red zone. Also the MOBILE HI-POD is able to walk around the entire field 5-6 times during a game to find and capture the best shot possible of the game.

HI-POD has begun working with Soccerlab and Sportvas in Europe. By capturing aerial videography of a match or practice, HI-POD has been able to provide the video angle that makes best use of the SportVAS Video analysis software. As a key supplier of Video analysis software to the “soccer” industry, Sportvas recognized the complimentary relationship of HI-POD’S aerial camera system to their software. HI-POD is proud to be involved with Soccerlab and SportVAS and looks forward to great things to come.
