Once again DVEXPO has come to town and everything DV is on display at the Los Angeles Convention Center. HI-POD is displaying the new X2 unit at the show.

The X2 towers over all at 25 feet. The new unit will also being demonstrating the X2’s revolutionary spring retraction handle mechanism. Now spooling the tilt ropes is effortless- the X2 does it for you.

Also on display will be the base for the unit. This sturdy base/ dolly can be used on all HI-POD units- 15 foot, 20 foot, and 25 foot units.

Come on down and check out the unit. It will be on display at the AMETRON booth. But if you can’t find the booth, just look up to find the tallest item in the show. That will be the HI-POD X2.

When UPN/ CBS wanted to produce a multi-camera live webcast of the TOP MODEL finale, they contacted HI-POD TV.

HI-POD supplied a 15 foot hi-pod, plus a trimmed down HI-POD TV system that could hook up and switch amongst multiple cameras . That final signal was sent via microwave back to the studio and ultimately encoded and webcast over the internet live.

HI-POD TV is capable of monitoring and switching 8 cameras, with 4 angles of instant replay. It can overlay graphics as well as insert commercials. Although originally created for live sports, HI-POD TV can easily be used for concerts, and red-carpet events. The end product can be webcast or (depending on the quality of the cameras) be broadcast.
