Hi-Pod, the maker of the Hi-Pod Extreme Endzone Camera, is showcasing the top Pop Warner weekly football plays from Los Angeles County to Orange County, California, through its online video show “Hi-Pod Highlights.”
The company has as many as 50 Hi-Pod Mobile operators out in the field every weekend covering the Pop Warner leagues, gathering on-field highlights and creating a 10-minute online program demonstrating the level of football played in Southern California.
“The Pop Warner footage is awesome,” says Hi-Pod president Enrique Morales. “It’s 5 through 14-year-olds, and the helmets are bigger than the darn kids. It’s really entertaining to watch.”
Each game is shot in high definition, and the company crunches the content and uploads it to its online store at http://www.hipodgames.com. The games are available 24 hours after filming, and anyone can purchase them for $10 per game.
On top of that, the company collects the Top 10 Plays of the Week and creates a highlight show, which is available through iTunes and YouTube. Each show is downloadable.
“Hi-Pod, has done a phenomenal job with the ‘Play of the Week’ segment that the boys absolutely love. Their investment in the community, as well as youth sports, is an integral part of what we are trying to teach in Pop Warner Football,” says Mike McGraw, head coach of the Santa Margarita Eagles Junior Pee Wee team.
“It’s a really tight show,” says Morales. “We give an award for last week’s best play, go into our Top 10, and end with scores and our tele-strator section. It’s great to have mom and dad shooting video on the sidelines, but you can’t always see a whole lot. We’re showing how great these kids are and how easy it is to capture their games with the Hi-Pod. It’s great fun to be had by all.”
